A Very Creepy Owl Has Landed On Flushing Ave
The other day, I was driving down Flushing Avenue in East Williamsburg when I happened to look over at this strip of abandoned storefronts near Varick…
…and something very peculiar caught my eye…
What the hell was that thing perched on the roof??
Despite its menacing countenance, the design work is really intricate and quite pretty in a very strange way. Does anyone know who the artist is, by any chance?
Here’s a closer look – this thing has a lot of really creepy eyes:
Here’s a look at its torso…
…and its plumed tail:
I have no idea what this thing is supposed to be, though it looks like a demon owl to me, so that’s what I’m calling it.
And while I’m not sure of the migratory patterns of demon owls, methinks this will only be around for a short while, so be sure and take a look next time you pass by!

The artist is Dennis McNett and the piece has been there a couple months already! http://thestreetspot.com/2013/09/wolfbat.html
